1975 marked a great change for me. After a phase where I was searching for contents and a language that allowed me to express those contents with clarity and cohesion, I started communicating my concepts through painting. I had recently moved from my village, still rural, to the din of the city.
After a period of wander and fascination for this new reality, my reaction was one of annoyance for this distressful environment, which creates alienation and detaches man from his natural contest. My paintings are inhabited by threatening and disturbing gigantic mechanical pieces.
Technology, which should improve the life of humans, is turning against us, imposing an arrogant and imbalanced relationship.
